Coombe Wood Golf Club

Mens Golf

Coombe Wood Golf Club is not only a great test of golf that examines all aspects of your game, but is quick and fun to play.

You will also be assured of a warm welcome at our club by our friendly staff in the Pro Shop, Bar and Restaurant and, of course, by our members. We pride ourselves on adopting a welcoming attitude to all who visit our club, either in a playing or social capacity.

We host a range of competitions throughout the year, with monthly weekend and midweek medal, stableford, mixed, and knockout competitions, interspersed with an extensive range of trophy competitions connected with the history of the Club, namely the Paget Cup (named after General Sir Paget, Captain in 1923) and Cambridge Cup - Singles Knockout (named after Duke of Cambridge). We also host Summer and Winter Nines competitions every Wed & Thurs to encourage as many members to manage and improve their playing handicaps.

In addition to competitions, we also host inter-club competitions and participate in the various Surrey Golf Union team summer and winter events for different handicap groups across the county.

Finally, and importantly, Coombe Wood is renowned for being a very sociable Golf Club. There are roll-ups every weekend for early morning or mid-morning members, in addition to every Mon, Wed & Fri mid-morning. For members over the age of 55, there is also a very active FROGGS group (The Fellowship of Retired Gentlemen Golfers) who play every Mon, Wed & Fri and always welcome new members to their group.

You can always be assured of a fun, enjoyable and competitive game of golf at Coombe Wood Golf Club.
